Announcements 26th – 27th November 2011, 1st Sunday of Advent

1. Society Outing (URGENT)
a. Please submit your consent form for the Society Outing by this Sunday, 27th November. Group Leaders are to write down the names of those who have not submitted but are confirmed going on a piece of paper and drop in into the transparent box. (Group leaders please comply as this affects the ticket orders and the transport arrangement, which need to be settled accurately and urgently.)

2. Christmas Gift Exchange
a. If you have not received a call regarding this year’s Christmas Gift Exchange, please contact Shawn Wong, Raphael Ng, Jeremy Wong, Andre Dumont or Justin Yeo. The deadline for submission is Sunday, 4 Dec 11. Please refer to notice for more details.

3. Triduum and Feast Day
a. Triduum Masses this week are from Wednesday, 30th November to Friday, 2nd December at 8pm. There are no 6.30am or 6.30pm masses on these days. Triduum Masses are counted as weekday masses. There is no roster required.
b. Feast Day Mass is on Saturday, 3rd December at 5.30pm. ALL servers are to report to the sacristy at 3pm for session and training. Cape and Sash is required. This is a Full Society Mass. All groups except group 1 and the mass team should serve their normal weekend masses on top of Feast Day Mass.

4. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass Rosters are published. Kindly refer to these rosters and adhere strictly to all instructions provided.
b. There is NO Morning Mass and Novena this Saturday, 26th November.
c. Special Events Roster for November has been published. Please check if you are scheduled.
d. As the school holidays have started, servers are to serve 2 weekday masses a week. One morning mass is compulsory.
e. The Letter of Excuse is to be submitted and approved if a server is unable to fulfil any mass or novena requirement. Failure to do so will result in a server being marked as absent without official leave and he is liable for disciplinary action.

5. Training
a. Whenever servers are holding an article (e.g. weekend missal) and need to bow to the priest after he sits down on the presider’s chair, they should observe the following procedure
i. Face the priest
ii. With the hand nearest their seat, put down the article on the seat. The other hand is placed on the chest.
iii. Hands to return together.
iv. Wait for all to be ready.
v. Bow, taking the cue from the PAs.
vi. With the hand nearest their seat, retrieve the article from the seat. The other hand is placed on the chest.
vii. Face the congregation.
viii. Step up
