Annoucements For Canteen on the 20th Of Sept

• All servers except the newly invested servers are to wear the servers’ shirt. The newly-invested servers should wear a black t-shirt on that day.
• All food contributions have to be in the canteen by 7am.
• All money donations are be placed in a marked enveloped with the server’s name and dropped off in the transparent box or pass it to any Ex-Co member. No money will be collected on the day of the canteen.
• Servers are NOT EXEMPTED from catechism class.

Annoucements 12-13th Sept 24th Sunday in Ordinary Times

1. The roster for the training of mass groups is up on the notice board, please check when you mass group is rostered. Attendance is compulsory. Group 3 & 4 servers have training This Sunday.
2. The servers’ canteen is Next Sunday, 20th Sep. The Canteen roster is out on the cupboard, please check the time you are rostered for.
3. Servers are to reply with the word ‘Amen’ after receiving communion, Amen means ‘I Believe’.
4. This Saturday 19 Sep, Group 5 is serving Novena.

  • If you are unable to serve, find a replacement and inform Matthew Ch’ng at least a week before the mass.
  • These masses are counted as a weekday mass.
  • The wedding masses will be held in the main church, Charismatic Mass will be in the Parish hall.

Announcements 29 – 30 August, 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. The roster for the training of mass groups is up on the notice board, please check when you mass group is rostered. Attendance is compulsory.
2. The Fun Fair roster will be out by This Sunday, please check if you are rostered for fun fair duty.
3. Servers can order the photos from the Investiture, the photos are displayed in the files outside the sacristy. Please take a look. You can order the photos from Shawn Wong.
4. The Investiture Dvds are ready this weekend. Please collect it from Shawn Wong.
5. Starting from next month onwards, all servers do not need to serve Holy Hour, as it is held in the adoration room.
6. Servers are discouraged from wear shorts and slippers when they come to attend mass.
7. Be reminded that Novena and Weekend mass on 5 Sep, Saturday has been changed to 4.15pm and 5pm respectively.
8. Servers who wants to get a new servers t-shirt, please look for Nicholas Lim.
9. This Saturday 4 Sep, Group 3 is doing Novena.

Annoucements 8-9th August 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. The Assumption Day roster is on the cupboard, please check when you are serving. It’s on 14 and 15 Aug. Bring cape and sash. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Group 1 servers who are serving on 15 Aug are to come back in the evening to serve their weekend mass.
2. Take note that there is only 1 weekday This Monday, 10 Aug at 8.30am, due to it being a public holiday.
3. Servers, who need new servers’ shirt, please look for either Joel Moosa or Nicholas Lim.
4. There is Investiture training for servers serving on the altar This Sunday at 2pm
5. This Saturday 15 Aug, Group 5 is doing Novena.

Annoucements 1-2 August 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. Servers, who still have not handed in the Investiture consent forms, please hand up LATEST by This Sunday.
2. The Assumption Day roster is on the cupboard, please check when you are serving. It’s on 14 and 15 Aug. Bring cape and sash. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Group 1 servers who are serving on 15 Aug are to come back in the evening to serve their weekend mass.
3. The Investiture roster is out on the cupboard, please check if you are serving on the altar. Servers whose names are not on the roster are to serve on the pews. Bring cape and sash.
4. Training dates for servers serving on the altar on Investiture Day is Friday 7th, 14th Aug at 8pm, and Sunday 9th Aug at 2pm.
5. Attendance is compulsory for ALL Altar Servers. Please wear the Servers’ Shirt and be in the basement chapel by latest 10.00am on 16 Aug.
6. Secondary Server’s are exempted from catechism on that day and Primary Servers’ will be required to attend catechism until 10am.
7. Servers from Group 1, 2 and 5 are to serve their usual masses on Investiture Day, only allocated group 3 servers will serve 9am mass on that day.
8. This Saturday 8 Aug, Group 4 is doing Novena.

Annoucements 18-19 July 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. The Annual Servers Investiture consent form is out, please take it home and get it signed.
2. Secondary servers are to sell the SFX Fun-Fair tickets, tickets will be distributed to each secondary server. Please look for Joel if you have not gotten the tickets yet.
3. Any servers who want to buy the SFX Fun-Fair tickets can buy it at $10.
4. Fr John Sim’s magazine is in the servers’ cupboard, servers are to approach an exco member if you want a copy for your family.
5. Please pray for Lucy She, who is the one who make the cassocks for the Altar Servers Society, she has fractured her arm. Pray that she has a speedy recovery.
6. This Saturday 25 July, Group 2 is doing Novena.

2. There will not be any weekday morning and evening masses this coming week from 13 – 18 July, due to the priests’ retreat. Servers do not need to serve, but are encouraged to attend the communion service within the week.

1. During communion, servers are to stand up and seat down once the main celebrant has finished distributing communion.
2. Servers doing 2nd bells are to step up with the rest of the servers from their position first before putting the bells near the pillar.

Annoucements 30-31th May Pentecost Sunday

1. There is Altar Servers’ meeting This Sunday, 31 May, at 2pm. Please let your facilitators know if you are unable to make it.
2. Due to the few cases of swine flu in Singapore, the Altar Servers’ chalet has been officially cancelled.
3. Servers are to bring cape and sash next weekend, as it is Holy Trinity Sunday.
4. Servers are required to serve 1 morning weekday mass and 1 evening weekday mass or 2 morning masses during the June school holidays. Servers who are unable to serve are to fill in the letter of excuse, and servers will only be granted excused when the letter of excuse is approved.
5. Demerit points will be issued accordingly, if servers do not serve their required weekday masses.
6. Servers going overseas during the school holidays are reminded to submit the letter of excuse.
7. Please take note of some changes in the Sharing Groupings. Nigel Rankine, Nigel Chew and Joshua Tan Chun Heng are the new facilitators.

Annoucements 24-25th May 7th Sunday of Easter , World Communication Sunday

1.There is Altar Servers’ meeting Next Sunday, 31 May, at 2pm,
2. All Altar Servers aged 13 and above are required to attend a play entitled “Postcards from St Paul”.This Sunday, 2pm in the Parish Hall.The play is free of charge. Those who are unable to attend are to inform Joel. Servers have to report outside the sacristy at 1.30pm.
3. Servers have to return the Chalet consent form latest by This Sunday. Servers not attending the Chalet still have to submit the form.
4. Servers who have not check the contact list, please check and sign if your particulars are correct.
5. Servers are required to inform the Vestment ICs Geoffrey Tan or Bryan Khoo of their cassock sizes, if their cassocks are short.
6. Servers are required to serve 2 weekday masses during the June school holidays.
7. Servers have to bring a rosary when serving weekday mass during the month of May.
8. Servers going overseas during the school holidays are reminded to submit the letter of excuse. 9. Maximilian has left the society with immediate effect as he feels its time for him to move on. Please pray for him.
10. Servers are to take note that their facilitators will meet up with them once a month. You are welcomed to share your experiences with them and are invited to use this opportunity to know your facilitators better.
11. Please take note of some changes in the Sharing Groupings. Nigel Rankine, Nigel Chew and Joshua Tan Chun Heng are the new facilitators.

Announcements 16-17 May

  • Take note that Ascension Day is this Wed & Thurs, please check when you are serving. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Bring Cape and Sash
  • All Altar Servers aged 13 and above are required to attend a play entitled “Postcards from St Paul”.
    Date: Sun, 24th May
    Time: 2pm, SFX parish Hall
    The play is free of charge. Those who are unable to attend are to submit the Letter of Excuse
  • Please take a copy of the Chalet consent form and return the form latest by 24th May. Servers not attending the Chalet still have to submit the form.
  • Servers have to bring a rosary when serving weekday mass during the month of May.
  • A new copy of the contact list is out. Please check that your particulars are correct and sign. The contact list will be available for distribution from next week.
  • Servers are required to inform the Vestment ICs Geoffrey Tan or Bryan Khoo of their cassock sizes.
  • Servers are required to serve 2 weekday masses during the June school holidays
  • Servers going overseas during the school holidays are reminded to submit the letter of excuse.
