Announcements 28th – 29th Oct 2012, 30th Sunday of Ordinary Time



1.     Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a.     Special events roster for Nov has been published.
b.     Group 2 servers will be serving the Novena service on next Sat, 3rd Nov.

2.     All Saints Day and All Souls Day (HIGH IMPORATANCE)
a.     All Saints Day masses are held this Wed, 31st Oct (7pm) and Thu, 1st Nov (630am, 630pm and 8pm).  These masses are not counted as weekday masses.
b.     All Souls Day masses are held this Fri, 2nd Nov (630am, 630pm and 8pm).  These masses are counted as weekday masses.
c.     Sacristans are to set up at least one hour before all masses.
d.     All swaps between servers should be completed by Sun, 28th Oct.  All servers MUST obtain the approval of an Executive Committee member if they swap with another server or make a special request to serve another mass.
e.     Cape and sash is required for All Saints Day Mass.
f.      Servers who require a letter of excuse to inform their school that they will be late due to mass are to inform Andre Dumont by THIS SUN, 28th Oct.  Requests for letters of excuse on the actual day itself WILL STRICTLY NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

3.     Year of Faith
a.     Sharing will be held this Fri at 830pm.  All servers secondary school and above are required to attend.

4.     Archdiocesan Youth Day 2012 (Day of Recollection for Altar Servers) (HIGH IMPORTANCE)
a.     Servers aged 13 and above are to attend the Day of Recollection for Altar Servers on Thu, 15th Nov, which is a public holiday.
b.     All leaders to ensure that servers aged 13 submit their completed and signed form IMMEDIATELY AFTER DEBRIEF.
c.     All servers are reminded to be considerate and submit their forms WITHOUT DELAY as the organisers need to cater for food and the society needs to cater for transport.

5.     Sacrament of Confirmation
a.     The Sacrament of Confirmation for Sec 3 youths will be administered at the Saturday sunset mass on 10th Nov.
b.     Mass Team Roster has been published.  All servers to check if they are on the roster and attend all trainings specified.



6.     Rosary
a.     The society will begin the recitation of the rosary before each weekday mass.
b.     All servers are required to be in the sacristy half an hour before their weekday mass and bring along their rosaries.
c.     The recitation of the rosary is to be led by an Exco Member or Group Leader who is present.
