Announcements 30th Nov – 1st Dec 2013, First Sunday of Advent

 

1.
Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
b.
Special events roster for December has beenupdated.  All to check.
c.
Group 3 servers will be serving the Novena servicenext Sat, 7th Dec.
d.
Servers on school holiday are required to serve 2 weekday masses each week.

 

2.
Sharing
a.
Sharing for servers secondary 1 and above is on this Friday, 6th Dec at 830pm.

 

3.
Year End Outreach Project
a.
The Society will be organising a number of visits to St Theresa’s Home during December.  The rosters have been UPDATED for changes to REPORTING and DISMISSAL times due to special requests by the home.  
b.
All servers are to check the rosters again to see when they would be participating in these visits andsubmit the consent form by this Sun, 1st Dec.  

 

4.
Primary School Retreat
a.
The Retreat for Primary School Servers will be held from 16th to 18th Dec (Mon to Wed).  

 

5.
SFX Feast Day
a.
SFX Feast Day will be celebrated on Sun, 1st Dec at 11am.
i.
It is a FULL SOCIETY MASS.  Bring along cape and sash and report by 915am to the Basement Chapel for Spiritual Preparation.  Attendance to be marked by David de Souza.  Servers unable to serve are to submit a detailed letter of excuse.
ii.
All servers not in group 4 and not on the mass team will be required to serve their normal weekend masses.  All sacristans and group leaders on the mass team must still ensure that they have an able replacement for their normal mass times.
iii.
Group 3 leader to allocate 5 servers to serve the 9am mass on that day.  Only these servers are exempted from reporting at 915am.  The remaining group 3 servers will serve another weekend mass.  

 

6.
Training
a.
Cleansing of sacred vessels will always be done at the Altar from this Sunday, 1st Dec onwards.

 

7.
Sacristans
a.
Duty Sacristans are to set up one water bowl at the high table for the communion ministers to wash their hands after communion on weekdays.

 

 

8.
Cassock Exchange
a.
Group leaders are to check and ensure that their group members are wearing cassocks of appropriate length immediately after debrief and take down the name and sizes of those who require a new cassock. The measurements for those requiring new cassocks are to be taken from the base of the neck down to the back of the heel.  Measuring tape can be found on the high table middle drawer.
b.
Names, current size and required size (measured by tape) of the boys that need new cassocks are to be submitted by Group Leaders to Emmanuel Lee via SMS.  If there are none, please indicate “Cassock Exchange Nil” in the SMS.
