2.     New Attendance Sheets
a.     New attendance sheets will be used starting this weekend.
b.     All leaders are to show and teach their group members how to fill in the new weekday attendance sheets before dismissal.

Announcements 15th – 16th Sep 2012, 24th Sunday of Ordinary Time



1. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a. Special events roster for Sep has been published.
b. Group 1 servers will be serving the Novena service on next Sat, 22nd Sep.

2. Canteen
a. The Altar Servers’ Canteen will be held on Sun, 23rd Sep. The roster for canteen has been EDITED. Please note that
i. All Altar Servers’ are to wear the Altar Servers’ Polo Shirt. Food must be in the canteen by 7am.
ii. Servers are to report 15 mins before your shift time
iii. Canteen duty does not exempt anybody or allow them to be late for serving Mass or Catechism. Servers are to report to the sacristy 30 mins before their mass time.
iv. If you wish to change your duty/timeslot, please swap with another server and seek approval from an Exco member by 16th Sep 2012
v. Servers contributing cash are to enclose the cash in an envelope, write their name and amount of cash on it and drop it into the transparent box on the high table of the Sacristy.

3. Investiture Photos

b. Group 5 servers will be serving the Novena service on next Sat, 15th Sep.

2. Canteen
a. The Altar Servers’ Canteen will be held on Sun, 23rd Sep. The roster for canteen has been published. Please note that
i. All Altar Servers’ are to wear the Altar Servers’ Polo Shirt
ii. Servers are to report 15 mins before your shift time
iii. Canteen duty does not exempt anybody or allow them to be late for serving Mass or Catechism. Servers are to report to the sacristy 30 mins before their mass time.

Announcements 1st – 2nd Sep 2012, 22nd Sunday of Ordinary Time



1. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a. Special events roster for Sep has been published.
b. Group 4 servers will be serving the Novena service on next Sat, 8th Sep.
c. Those on school holidays this week have to serve 2 weekday masses, inclusive of at least 1 morning mass. Those unable to meet this requirement are reminded to submit an excuse letter.

2. Canteen
a. The Altar Servers’ Canteen will be held on Sun, 23rd Sep. The roster for canteen will be published next Sun, 9th Sep. Servers are to wear their servers’ shirt during their duty. Servers should have been called by now with regards to what they are contributing, but in the case that one has not been contacted yet, or has yet to inform a canteen planning team member of his contribution, he is to write his name, contribution and quantity (cash, food or drink) on a piece of paper and slip in into the transparent box on the high table by this Sun, 2nd Sep.

Announcements 18th – 19th Aug 2012, 20th Sunday of Ordinary Time


1. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a. Special events roster for Aug has been published.
b. Group 2 servers will be serving the Novena service on next Sat, 25th Aug.

2. Personal Responsibility for Special Masses
a. During the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary last Tuesday, 14th Aug, at the 6.30am mass, a large number of servers requested for letters to inform the school for time allowance on the morning itself. Such acts of irresponsibility are unacceptable. Servers were told to check for important updates on the rosters, which clearly stated that servers requiring such letters were to approach the Secretary, Andre Dumont the Friday before. All servers are expected to be more responsible and attentive in future. The Secretary will not be held accountable for not drafting a letter if a server did not approach him by the deadline.

3. Friday Night Sharing
a. Sharing resumes on this Fri, 24th Aug.

4. Sacristans
a. Updated roster for weekday and weekend sacristans are up. Please check. High importance.

2. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

a. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Tue and Wed, 14th and 15th Aug.

b. These masses are not counted as a weekday masses.

c. All other important instructions are on the rosters.

3. Friday Night Sharing

a. Sharing resumes on this Fri, 19th Aug.

4. Lost and Found

a. There are a number of lost and found items in the bottom of the servers’ cupboard. If they belong to you, please claim them. All unclaimed items will be donated to the thrift shop after Sun, 19th Aug.

5. Sacristans

a. Updated roster for weekday and weekend sacristans are up. Please check. High importance.

6. SFX Funday

a. Servers who would like sign themselves up as victims for the dunking pool funday stall are to obtain a consent form on the high table, have it signed and return it to the transparent box by Fri, 17th Aug.

b. Servers on the funday rosters are to note that they are on games duty. Instructions will be passed to them this week. If any server is unable to turn up for duty, he must perform a swap or replacement. Failure to report for duty will be handled as an AWOL case.

7. New Servers Groupings

a. These are the new servers’ groupings, which take effect from next Sat, 18th Aug.

Announcements 4th – 5th Aug 2012, 18th Sunday of Ordinary Time

1. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)

a. Special events roster for Aug has been published.

b. Not all group 5 servers will be serving the Novena service on Sat, 11th Aug due to Investiture. Group 5 leader to appoint only 4 servers for duty. All other servers to be down in the Basement Chapel on time.

c. On the 9th of august, mass is only at 8.30 am.

2. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

a. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Tue and Wed, 14th and 15th Aug.

b. These masses are not counted as a weekday masses.

c. All other important instructions are on the rosters.

3. Sharing

a. There is no sharing on Fri, 17th Aug due to Investiture preparations. Sharing resumes on Fri, 24th Aug.

4. Investiture (High Importance)

a. On Sat, 11 Aug, all servers are to report to the Basement Chapel by 3pm. Bring cassock, cape and sash.

b. Investiture Mass is a full society mass.

c. Investiture Mass is not counted as a weekend mass except for those on the mass team.

d. Submit letter of excuse if you are unable to serve.

e. All servers are required to wear the server’s shirt.

Announcements 26th – 27th July 2012, 17th Sunday of Ordinary Time

1. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)

a. Special events roster for Aug has been published.

b. Group 4 servers will be serving the Novena service on Sat, 4th Aug.

2. SFX Funday

a. The society will be running a number of games stalls along with the Gift Bearers for the SFX Funday on Sat, 18th Aug. Please check the roster to see if you are assigned for duty.

3. Investiture (High Importance)

a. There is training this Sunday, 29 Jul for the Investiture Mass Team at 2pm. Please be punctual. Absentees may be taken off the roster.

b. Consent forms are to be signed and submitted immediately after mass. Please note that if you have not submitted the form, you are holding the back the entire planning process as the team needs to place catering orders by this Monday, 30 Jul. All Group Leaders to stay behind to facilitate the collection from all servers who have not submitted the form

a.      The noticeboard inside the sacristy has been closed down.  Please refer only to the noticeboard outside the sacristy.

b.     Consent form has been published.  Please take a copy and return it by next Sunday, 22nd July.  All Group Leaders to ensure.

a.     All players to return their washed jerseys and bibs to the top of the cassock cupboard.  They are to be folded neatly.  Players who are caught making a mess in the cupboard will be made to sweep the floor. 

3.     Contact List
a.      All servers are to take home a copy of the updated contact list.  They are responsible for taking care of their own list and are not to give any excuses about not having the contact numbers of their fellow servers.  Group Leaders to ensure as many did not take home the contact list last week.

Announcements 16th – 17th June 2012, 11th Sunday of Ordinary Time



1.     Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a.     Group 3 servers will be serving the Novena service on Sat, 23rd Jun.
b.     Special events roster for June has been published.

2.     Archbishop’s Cup Tournament
a.     We thank all players for putting in their best efforts in the recent Archbishop’s Cup Tournament.  The U13 team exceeded expectations and managed to reach the semi-finals.  We also thank all servers and parents who have taken time to lend their support.

3.     Altar Severs Retreat (HIGH IMPORTANCE)
a.     The retreat is this week, Tues, 19th Jun to Thu, 21st Jun.  Please check your retreat groupings on the noticeboard.  Report to the canteen area at 9am sharp on Tues.  You will be dismissed at 7pm on Thurs.
b.     Servers who are not attending the retreat are to serve their morning and evening masses from Tues, 19th Jun to Thu, 21st Jun.  Duty sacristans for these days will follow the usual rosters.  Replacements must be found if they are unable to perform their duties.  If you are a duty sacristan and are attending the retreat, you will be given time to set up.
c.     The Gift Bearers are organising intercessory prayer sessions on Tue and Wed night, 19th and 20th Jun at 8pm for the intentions of the Altar Servers Society.  The sessions will be held at the grotto.  We appreciate their kind support.  Kindly inform your parents.  Servers who are not attending the retreat are strongly encouraged to attend. 
d.     Briefing and preparation for the retreat is on Mon, 18th Jun from 2pm to 5pm.  All Exco, Heads, Facilitators and Retreat ICs are to attend.

4.     Contact List
