Announcements 10 - 11 April, 2nd Sunday of Easter

  1. There will an Altar Servers’ meeting on This Sunday, at 2pm by Brother Jude on the roles of a priest. Attendance is compulsory.
  2. The updated Altar Servers’ contact list is out, please take a copy home.
  3. Servers are reminded to fulfil their weekday mass obligation, and serve 1 weekday mass a week. Servers are also reminded to mark their attendance.
  4. Servers do not need to come early or stay back after Weekend mass for the Gospel Reflection. However, on Weekday masses, servers have to come at 6pm for gospel reflection. Servers who are late have to stay back after mass. Servers serving Sat morning, have to stay back after mass for gospel reflection.
  5. 5.Group 5 will be serving Novena This Sat, 17th April

Announcements 27 – 28 Mar, Palm Sunday

  1. Please take note that the Holy Thursday mass is not at 7pm but is changed to 6.30pm, so all servers are to report to the basement chapel by 4.30pm. Servers who need a letter to excuse them from any school activities on that day are to look for Joel Moosa or Jeremy Wong.
  2. All group leaders will return the Lenten reflection booklet to all servers
  3. Servers do not need to come early or stay back after Weekend mass for the Gospel Reflection. However, on Weekday masses, servers have to come at 6pm for gospel reflection. Servers who are late have to stay back after mass. Servers serving Sat morning, have to stay back after mass for gospel reflection.

Holy Week 2010 Announcements


Palm Sunday:
1. Palm Sunday is next weekend, 27th/28th March, please bring cape & sash.

Holy Thursday:
1. Holy Thursday is on 1st April
2. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper roster is on the cupboard, training for those rostered is on 26th March at 8pm & 1st April at 4.30pm
3. ALL SERVERS MUST SERVE – those not rostered to serve from the pews
4. The Silent Adoration roster will be out within the week, please check back soon
5. Bring cape and sash for both Mass and Silent Adoration.

6. Servers are to report in the basement chapel by 5pm.

Good Friday:
1. Good Friday is on 2nd April
2. The roster for those serving at the sanctuary and at the pews is on the cupboard
3. Training for those serving at the Sanctuary is next Sunday, 1.30pm for those serving at 9am & 3.30pm for those serving at 3pm.
4. Bring Cape and Sash

5. The Passion Play roster will be out within the week, please check back soon.

Easter Vigil:
1. Easter Vigil is on 3rd April
2. The roster is on the cupboard
3. Training is on 27th March at 7pm and 3rd April at 7.30am and 5pm
4. Bring cape and sash
5. Group 1 servers not on the Easter Vigil roster must serve a different Easter Mass on Sunday.

Announcements 13 – 14 Mar, 4th Sunday of Lent

  1. Servers are to have their Lenten Walk forms signed and hand in by This Sunday, 7th Mar.
  2. Servers are reminded that the Lenten Walk activity is This Sat, 20th Mar.
  3. Since it is the school holidays, servers with school holidays have to serve their 2 weekday masses this week. Servers, who cannot serve mass due to school activities or holidays, are to fill up the letter of excuse.

Annoucements for Canteen on the 17th of Jan

1. All Servers’ should have received a call from an Ex-Co member about their canteen contributions.If you haven’t, please inform the Ex-Co member in-charge of your group.
2. The Canteen & CNY Cookie Sale Roster is on the cupboard. Please check which duty you are rostered for.
3. The Altar Servers Shirt is required for canteen and CNY cookie sales.
4. If you need a new Servers’ Shirt, please approach Nicholas Lim or Joel Moosa. Each shirt costs $12
5. All food contributions should be in the canteen by 7am next Sunday.
6. All money contributions can start coming in by this weekend.Please put all money into an envelope with your name on it and pass it to Joel Moosa, Nicholas Lim or Shawn Wong or put it in the transparent box in the sacristy.

1. The Christmas Eve and Day rosters are out on the cupboard, please check when you are serving. Group 2, 3 and 4 are to serve the 7am, 9am and 11am mass respectively on Christmas Day. Bring cape and sash.
2. There is the annual Christmas Gift Exchange among the servers. Facilitators will contact the servers of their group this week, to tell them who the server will be giving to.

Annoucements 28-29th Nov 1st Sunday of Advent

1. The new cassocks have arrived, servers involve in cassock exchange are to begin exchanging their cassocks this weekend, please look for Bryan Khoo or Nicholas Lim. The cassock exchange list is on the cupboard.
2. Primary 5 and 6 servers please remember to hand in your bread run extension form this weekend. Please take the form if you have not received yet and get it signed by This Sunday.
3. Servers, who are interested in helping out in the Soup Kitchen in the morning, please write your name down. More information will be given to you by Raphael Ng soon.
4. New servers can collect their Altar Servers’ T-shirts This Sunday from either Nicholas Lim or Shawn Wong. Those who have not paid for the t-shirts please pay when you get your t-shirts. It is at $12.

Christmas Outreach 2009 Updated on 07Nov

The List of approved changes for Christmas Outreach activities is out on the notice boards.
Please check if when you are rostered for Wednesday’s Bread Run.
Please take note that the Bread Run on Wednesday night will begin at 9pm instead of 8pm.
Please take note of when your group is down for rosary making. Groups are scheduled to 2 sessions lasting 2 hours each.

3. The Triduum roster is on the cupboard, please check when you are rostered to serve. Bring cape and sash. There are NO 6.30am and 6.30pm masses on those 3 days.

Some changes have been made to the Confirmation roster, please check if you are serving. Take note of the training dates, if you are unable to make it please inform Raphael Theseira early.

Annoucements For Canteen on the 20th Of Sept

• All servers except the newly invested servers are to wear the servers’ shirt. The newly-invested servers should wear a black t-shirt on that day.
• All food contributions have to be in the canteen by 7am.
• All money donations are be placed in a marked enveloped with the server’s name and dropped off in the transparent box or pass it to any Ex-Co member. No money will be collected on the day of the canteen.
• Servers are NOT EXEMPTED from catechism class.

1. The roster for the training of mass groups is up on the notice board, please check when you mass group is rostered. Attendance is compulsory.
2. The Fun Fair roster will be out by This Sunday, please check if you are rostered for fun fair duty.
3. Servers can order the photos from the Investiture, the photos are displayed in the files outside the sacristy. Please take a look. You can order the photos from Shawn Wong.
4. The Investiture Dvds are ready this weekend. Please collect it from Shawn Wong.
5. Starting from next month onwards, all servers do not need to serve Holy Hour, as it is held in the adoration room.
6. Servers are discouraged from wear shorts and slippers when they come to attend mass.
7. Be reminded that Novena and Weekend mass on 5 Sep, Saturday has been changed to 4.15pm and 5pm respectively.
8. Servers who wants to get a new servers t-shirt, please look for Nicholas Lim.

1. The Assumption Day roster is on the cupboard, please check when you are serving. It’s on 14 and 15 Aug. Bring cape and sash. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Group 1 servers who are serving on 15 Aug are to come back in the evening to serve their weekend mass.
2. Take note that there is only 1 weekday This Monday, 10 Aug at 8.30am, due to it being a public holiday.

1. Servers, who still have not handed in the Investiture consent forms, please hand up LATEST by This Sunday.
2. The Assumption Day roster is on the cupboard, please check when you are serving. It’s on 14 and 15 Aug. Bring cape and sash. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Group 1 servers who are serving on 15 Aug are to come back in the evening to serve their weekend mass.
3. The Investiture roster is out on the cupboard, please check if you are serving on the altar. Servers whose names are not on the roster are to serve on the pews. Bring cape and sash.
4. Training dates for servers serving on the altar on Investiture Day is Friday 7th, 14th Aug at 8pm, and Sunday 9th Aug at 2pm.
5. Attendance is compulsory for ALL Altar Servers. Please wear the Servers’ Shirt and be in the basement chapel by latest 10.00am on 16 Aug.

5. Please pray for Lucy She, who is the one who make the cassocks for the Altar Servers Society, she has fractured her arm. Pray that she has a speedy recovery.

Annoucements 4-5 July 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. During communion, servers are to stand up and seat down once the main celebrant has finished distributing communion.

Annoucements 30-31th May Pentecost Sunday

1. There is Altar Servers’ meeting This Sunday, 31 May, at 2pm. Please let your facilitators know if you are unable to make it.
2. Due to the few cases of swine flu in Singapore, the Altar Servers’ chalet has been officially cancelled.
3. Servers are to bring cape and sash next weekend, as it is Holy Trinity Sunday.
4. Servers are required to serve 1 morning weekday mass and 1 evening weekday mass or 2 morning masses during the June school holidays. Servers who are unable to serve are to fill in the letter of excuse, and servers will only be granted excused when the letter of excuse is approved.
5. Demerit points will be issued accordingly, if servers do not serve their required weekday masses.
6. Servers going overseas during the school holidays are reminded to submit the letter of excuse.
7. Please take note of some changes in the Sharing Groupings. Nigel Rankine, Nigel Chew and Joshua Tan Chun Heng are the new facilitators.

Annoucements 24-25th May 7th Sunday of Easter , World Communication Sunday

1.There is Altar Servers’ meeting Next Sunday, 31 May, at 2pm,
2. All Altar Servers aged 13 and above are required to attend a play entitled “Postcards from St Paul”.This Sunday, 2pm in the Parish Hall.The play is free of charge. Those who are unable to attend are to inform Joel. Servers have to report outside the sacristy at 1.30pm.
3. Servers have to return the Chalet consent form latest by This Sunday. Servers not attending the Chalet still have to submit the form.
4. Servers who have not check the contact list, please check and sign if your particulars are correct.
5. Servers are required to inform the Vestment ICs Geoffrey Tan or Bryan Khoo of their cassock sizes, if their cassocks are short.
6. Servers are required to serve 2 weekday masses during the June school holidays.
7. Servers have to bring a rosary when serving weekday mass during the month of May.
8. Servers going overseas during the school holidays are reminded to submit the letter of excuse. 9. Maximilian has left the society with immediate effect as he feels its time for him to move on. Please pray for him.
10. Servers are to take note that their facilitators will meet up with them once a month. You are welcomed to share your experiences with them and are invited to use this opportunity to know your facilitators better.

Announcements 16-17 May

  • Take note that Ascension Day is this Wed & Thurs, please check when you are serving. It is not counted as a weekday mass. Bring Cape and Sash
  • All Altar Servers aged 13 and above are required to attend a play entitled “Postcards from St Paul”.

    Time: 2pm, SFX parish Hall
    The play is free of charge. Those who are unable to attend are to submit the Letter of Excuse
  • Please take a copy of the Chalet consent form and return the form latest by 24th May. Servers not attending the Chalet still have to submit the form.
  • Servers have to bring a rosary when serving weekday mass during the month of May.
  • A new copy of the contact list is out. Please check that your particulars are correct and sign. The contact list will be available for distribution from next week.
  • Servers are required to inform the Vestment ICs Geoffrey Tan or Bryan Khoo of their cassock sizes.
  • Servers are required to serve 2 weekday masses during the June school holidays

Annoucements 9-10 May 5th Sunday of Easter

1. Servers doing 2nd bells are to step up with the rest of the servers from their position first before putting the bells near the pillar.
2. The Servers’ chalet will not be cancelled, the new chalet consent form is out, please take back a copy and get it sign.
3. The Ascension Day roster is out; please check when you are serving. It is not counted as a weekday mass.
4. Servers have to bring a rosary when they serve their weekday masses during this month, as we will be reciting the rosary before mass.
5. Servers are to stand up and sit after the centre aisle have finish receiving Holy Communion, this applies to all masses.

Special Events Roster (May '09)

Note:
• Be in the Sacristy half an hour before the start of mass. For the Charismatic mass, report to the back of the Parish Hall by 8.00pm sharp.
• If you are unable to serve, find a replacement and inform Matthew Ch’ng at least a week before the mass.
• These masses are counted as a weekday mass.
• The wedding masses will be held in the main church. Charismatic mass is held in the Parish Hall.

Annoucements 2-3 May Vocation Sunday

1. There is an Altar Servers’ meeting This Sunday at 2pm. Please bring a rosary.
2. There are some changes in the mass, take note that cross stays on fathers’ side, the bells has been changed to readers’ side and thanksgiving has been changed to fathers’ side.
3. After the 2nd bells have been rung, the server doing 2nd bells have to put the bell to the pillar on readers’ side.
4. Servers have to follow the precautionary measures during the swine flu outbreak, like washing of hands before mass, not shaking hands during Sign of Peace and receiving Holy Communion on the hands.
