1. Facilitators Day of Recollection
a. All Facilitators to note that there will be a Day of Recollection conducted by Bro. Alphonsus Raj from Fri, 18 May, 8pm to Sat, 19 May, 7pm. Besides the current Facilitators, the following servers will be required to attend as well.

Announcements 31st March – 1st April 2012, Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord
1. Altar Server’s Retreat 2012
a. The Altar Server’s Retreat will be held from Tue, 19th Jun to Fri, 22th Jun in SFX Church. Please schedule your holidays and activities outside these dates if possible.
2. Administration (Rosters and Special Events)
a. Holy Week Rosters have been published. Check through ALL of them, including the training dates.
b. (HIGH IMPORTANCE)- The Good Friday Service initially scheduled for 12pm has been changed to 1130am.
c. All servers will be required to update their current school on the record sheet next to the sink. Group Leaders to ensure that this is done before the servers leave the sacristy after mass.
d. There are no weekday masses beginning this Thursday morning, 5th March until Easter Vigil has passed on 7th Mar. Servers are to fulfil their weekday requirements before that.
e. There is no novena service on Holy Saturday, 7th Mar. Group 3 servers will be serving the Novena service the following Saturday on 14th Mar.
f. Special events roster for April has been published.
3. Training
a. Good Friday training will be held this Sun, 1st Apr at 3 different time slots. (ICs: Joshua Wong, Raphael Ng, Ethan Galistan)
i. 9am servers- 1pm to 215pm
ii. 1130am servers- 215pm to 330pm
iii. 3pm servers- 330pm to 430pm

c. There are changes to the Confirmation Mass Roster as a number of servers had siblings who were being confirmed but were left out by mistake. If you have siblings who are being confirmed in SFX in November and your names are not on the roster, you may request to be included by contacting Raphael Ng.

a. Please pray for Dominic Lim’s grandmother who has passed away. All Mass groups are to offer up 1 decade of the Rosary for the repose of her soul.

1. Canteen Issues
a. Canteen Roster is out. Please check for your respective reporting time, venue and Server in-charge. Changes and exemptions are strictly to be approved by Exco members only.
b. Your reporting time should not clash with your weekend Mass and Catechism class time. If it does, please approach any ex co member for amendments to be made.
c. There is no exemption from Catechism classes.
d. Wear the Servers’ shirt. (No shorts allowed)
e. All Servers are required to pay for food. No free food allowed. Those who help themselves will be severely dealt with.
f. All food contributions to be delivered by 7am to the Canteen.
g. Cash Submission
i. The following members are to drop their cash contributions for canteen into the transparent box immediately. Please indicate name and amount.

c. There will be special events (weddings, funerals) training for New Servers on Sun, 18 and 25 September and Sunday 2 October at 2pm.
d. New Servers will serve their weekend Mass in accordance to the weekend Mass groups they have been assigned to.

a. The following members are to submit their investiture prize contributions to any Exco Member latest when they serve their weekday mass this week.

b. The investiture of new altar servers takes place next Sun, 11 Sep 11 during the 11am mass. Lunch will be held in the canteen from 1pm to 3pm.
i. All servers are to assemble in the basement chapel by 9am sharp, with cassock, cape and cincture. Server’s shirt to be worn.
ii. New servers are to be in their short sleeved white shirt, black pants, belt and black shoes.
iii. All servers are exempted from catechism classes on 11 Sep 11.
iv. Not all Group 3 servers will serve the 9am mass. Only the following 9 servers will serve and report to the basement chapel after serving their 9am mass.

a. Assumption Day is on Mon, 15th Aug. Mass times are at 6:30am, 6:30pm and 8:00pm. It is a day of obligation. Rosters are published on the noticeboard and blog. Please check and ensure attendance. Changes will only be approved by Joel Moosa or Raphael Ng.
b. Group 3 is serving Novena this Saturday, 13th August.
3. Training
a. All servers are to take an empty bowl ciborium from the credence table to the altar table during preparation for weekday evening masses with immediate effect.
b. Servers are to use the candle snuffers to extinguish the flames after all Masses. No blowing is allowed.
4. Petitions
a. Nicholas Lim has enlisted for National Service and Shawn Wong is on a month long attachment in Rome. Please keep them in your prayers.

Please bear in mind the amount of inconvenience that the planning committee has to go through for every member that does not submit the form. Hence, your cooperation is very much appreciated. Exco member for each mass group to ensure.
2. Rosters
a. Assumption Day is on Mon, 15th Aug. Rosters are published on the noticeboard and blog.
i. Approved amendments have been made to the roster on the noticeboards. Should you wish to request for a change in mass time, please seek approval from Joel Moosa or Raphael Ng by Sun, 14th Aug.
ii. Servers who are unable to serve on Assumption Day are to fill in the letter of excuse.
iii. Servers who need a letter of exemption from school are to approach Jeremy Wong with their school name, principal name, class and index number by Sat, 12th Aug.

3. Servers are to hand up the $50 for the Assisi Hospice Fun Fair tickets to either Shawn Wong or Raphael Ng. Put it into an envelope with your name written on it.
4. There is a change to serving mass. For all Masses, during the "I Confess...", servers are to only hit their chest ONCE at the words "My Fault". (Not three times at the words "My thoughts... my words... I have done.
5. Servers are to serve 2 weekday Masses during their June Holidays. 1 morning and 1 evening or 2 morning Masses.
6. Servers are reminded to submit the “letter of excuse” if they are unable to serve mass due to school camps or overseas trips.

Announcements 14 – 15 May, 4th Sunday of Easter
1. All servers are to take note that the Servers’ Retreat is on 21st to 23rd June. Please make sure that you can make it. Please take home a copy of the Retreat consent form and get it signed and return by 29th May, Sunday.
2. There are complaints that servers have been misbehaving themselves during the ticket sales. All servers are reminded to be on their best behaviour as they are representatives of Christ, Assisi Hospice and our Society. Group leaders will read out the rules to follow when selling the Assisi tickets.
3. There is a change to serving mass. For all Masses, during the "I Confess...", servers are to only hit their chest ONCE at the words "My Fault". (Not three times at the words "My thoughts... my words... I have done.
4. Servers are to hand up the $50 for the Assisi Hospice Fun Fair tickets to either Shawn Wong or Raphael Ng. Put it into an envelope with your name written on it.
5. Servers involved in cassock exchange, are to change their cassocks by this weekend. Servers who have problems exchanging are to look for Bryan Khoo.
6. The ticket sales roster is up on the noticeboard. All servers are to not down their scheduled time slots. Changes including exemption will only be approved by Shawn Wong or Raphael Ng.

Rules when selling Assisi tickets at churches
During the ticket sales:
a. Do not run around
b. Do not make unnecessary noise
c. Observe safety at all times (road safety)
d. Do not hound the parishioners to buy tickets 5-10 mins before Mass begins.
e. Respect the decisions of the Parishioners if they are unwilling to purchase tickets from you.
f. Be polite and grateful to the parishioners at all times even if they don’t buy from you.
g. Do not lose the money or tickets. Otherwise you will have to pay for the losses.
h. If you intend to purchase snacks or drinks from a vending machine, inform your facilitators before disappearing.
i. The parent volunteers will drive you to your doorstep after the ticket sales. No compromises will be entertained.

2. The cassock exchange list is on the cupboard, please check if you are involved. Servers are to change their cassocks by this weekend. Servers who have problems exchanging are to look for Bryan Khoo.
3. The ticket sales roster is up on the noticeboard. All servers are to not down their scheduled time slots. Changes including exemption will only be approved by Shawn Wong or Raphael Ng.
4. The following groups will be involved in ticket sales on Saturday, 14th May. Please refer to the outreach roster for the assembly time and other details. Facilitators to remind and ensure.
a. St. Francis of Assisi
b. St John Vianney
5. The cross from now on will be kept in the sacristy during mass, so the Cross bearer will go straight into the sacristy after procession.
6. Servers are reminded to fulfil their weekday mass obligation, and serve 1 weekday mass a week. Servers are also reminded to mark their attendance.
7. Servers are reminded to fill up the “letter of excuse” if they are unable to serve mass due to school camps or overseas trips during the June holidays.
